Pula is the largest city in the Istrian county and the eighth largest city in the country. It is located on the south side of the Istrian peninsula, with a population of about 50 000 people. The city has a long tradition of winemaking, fishing, shipbuilding and tourism. History was the administrative center of Istria from ancient Roman times. The most famous thing about Pula is the great amphitheater. The Pula Arena was built between the 27th and 68th centuries, and is still today.
